Maybe put a few points from Exterminator (or all) into Thick Skin instead, may have to have 25% Damage vs Infected on your gear to replace it.

Hey, so basically this build is based around the chainsaw being very strong and not needing lots of damage stats to be able to efficiently kill the infected for looting. It is also something that you would respec your alt character into, to become a looter alt. Basically 80% of your stats on gear will go towards buffing your loot, and the other 20% on damage stats.

Another tip would be to run towards most infected before they puke, so that you can stun/kill them to prevent being damaged by the vomit.
And to make use of the Medic Perk by healing up from low level meds as you loot them (such as painkillers and Iodine Tablets).

Gear:
I'd suggest focusing on Find Unique/Elite Item Chance, and then either Find Weapon Chance or Find Ammo/Medical Chance (Depending on what you think you would enjoy looting). You will need a few damage stats on your gear overall just to make sure you can still kill the infected fast. Pictures of my stats and gear are below for reference.

Another tip for Sprinter V users, if you hold the sprint key until your at full speed and then let go of sprint key whilst still holding the forwards key (let go for 0.5 seconds roughly) and then hold down the sprint key for 0.5 seconds and repeat (basically a slow spam of the sprint key).
This will basically keep your character at almost full speed and increase your sprint duration massively (probably allow you to sprint for 30+ seconds instead of 7). This is because of the sprint animation taking a while to slow down, whilst the animation begins to slow down slowly, your sprint duration will instantly start the cool-down process.

I'd say go with all the dmg perks first, with sprint or jog. U also have to reach lvl 10 to use a chainsaw i believe. So use a CZ pistol until lvl 5, and then use a Scout rifle until lvl 10, and then a chainsaw.

Also always get the dmg perks + 1 mobility perk first when lvling up, and then stuff like Health Restoration last.

Hey thanks for this build!
Ive been using it and it's fun.
I'm curious though, what's the strategy for this?
Run through level 30 buildings to the locked rooms for loot?
Is there specific spots that are best for looting?

It's for any type of looting, but if u want to find tons of meds or ammo, u would need to equip "Find Ammo Chance" stats, or loot a Police Department (Ammo) or Hospital for meds.
U can probably modify the build to have some lockpick stats for rushing locked doors if u wanted to.

Yeah, I'm new so not entirely sure what/where to loot. I was hoping to find unique and elite items.
Is there a cap on lockpicking chance?

There's a cap of 50% lockpick chance. Looting normal spots is the safest way to make money, with an extremely small chance of looting an unique or backpack along the way.
If you want the best chances by far of finding elites/uniques, u have to go bossing.

Personally I'd never pick Mule, but it probably doesn't matter that much. Medic is going to save u money on meds, and help u stay at full hp whilst looting.
