DF2Haven.com (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", "our", "Community | DF2 HAVEN", "DF2 Community | DF2 HAVEN", "DF2Haven.com") uses custom code to provide the Community | DF2 HAVEN Mission Guides and Boss [Location] Guides services and phpBB software (hereinafter "they", "them", "their", "phpBB", phpbb.com", "phpBB Limited", "phpBB Teams") for forum and user management. This policy explains in detail how Community | DF2 HAVEN and phpBB, together, use the information collected during any session of usage by you, as well as inform you of any data collection by third-party services installed on the site.
By using DF2Haven.com, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

What and how information is collected
Community | DF2 HAVEN collects and stores information on and from you in two ways: (1) cookies and (2) your submissions—i.e., any content you choose to submit to us via the Mission Guides, Boss Guides, or phpBB system.
The information that we automatically collect includes unique identifiers (e.g., your user-id, session-id, and IP address), browser type, device type, operating system, and site interactions.
Browsing Community | DF2 HAVEN will create a number of cookies, which are small text files that are downloaded into your web browser's temporary files from our server. The first two cookies contain a user identifier ("user-id") and an anonymous session identifier ("session-id"), both automatically assigned to you by the phpBB software. A third type of cookie is created for saving your interactions with the Community | DF2 HAVEN site (e.g., topics in the forums that have been read by you, your highlights and checkmarks on the guide pages).
The second way in which we collect your information is by what you directly submit to us. This type of data includes: registering on Community | DF2 HAVEN ("your [Community | DF2 HAVEN] account"), posts and private messages submitted through the phpBB system, and any submissions, edits, deletions, or comments on the Mission Guides and Boss Guides pages ("your contributions").
Note: The contents of emails sent through the phpBB system are never saved and are sent directly to the recipient through our mail server.
Your Community | DF2 HAVEN account will contain at minimum a uniquely identifiable name chosen by you ("your username"), a personal password used for logging into your account ("your password"), and a personal email address ("your email").
Your information for your account at Community | DF2 HAVEN is protected by data-protection laws applicable in the country that hosts us (USA). Any information beyond your username, your password, and your email address required during the registration process is optional. In all cases, you have the option of what information in your account is publicly displayed.
How your information is used by Community | DF2 HAVEN
Your user data is used to provide and enhance the services and features offered by the site. These include, but are not limited to: persistent logins, custom profiles, private messaging, special permissions, and saved settings and interactions across devices.
Your contributions (first submissions, edits, and confirmations) for the current and previous days are shared and accessible from the main Mission Guides and Boss Guides pages and are attributed to you by your username. Your contributions remain in the database, can be retrieved by its creation date and unique id, and are index-able by search engines.
Your email is used in registration and for notifications (you can opt-out in the User Control Panel).
Your IP address is used for session management, screening for suspected spam bots, and if necessary, moderation purposes by site Administrators.
Your personal information will never be sold and will never be used for any purposes outside of the services offered by DF2Haven.com. However, in cases such as to comply with a legal obligation, we may disclose your personal data on the belief that such action is necessary.
Keeping your information secure
We use data encyrption to keep your information private while it is sent to and from our server.
Any personal information that you choose to share in your user profile can only be viewed by those in the Dead Frontier 2 group. This is to ensure that random spam bots do not scrape any personal data from our members list.
While any members of the Dead Frontier 2 group is allowed to send emails to other members, as the recipient your email is never revealed unless you choose to reply. You can also disable receiving all emails and/or private messages in your User Control Panel. However, as the sender your email address that is associated with your account will be revealed to the recipient.
Your IP and email addresses can only be viewed by Administrators. You can see who are the current Administrators by viewing the Team Page (once you have been verified and added to the Dead Frontier 2 group).
Your private messages can only be viewed by the database administrator, unless it has been reported by another user and sent to Global Moderators.
Your password is ciphered with a one-way hash so that it is secure. However, it is recommended that you do not reuse the same password across a number of different websites. Your password is the means of accessing your account at Community | DF2 HAVEN, so please guard it carefully and under no circumstance will anyone affiliated with Community | DF2 HAVEN, phpBB or another third party, legitimately ask you for your password. Should you forget your password for your account, you can use the "I forgot my password" feature provided by the phpBB software. This process will ask you to submit your username and your email, then the phpBB software will generate a new password to reclaim your account.
Third-party advertising cookies
To support the site's operations and development, Community | DF2 HAVEN uses Google AdSense to serve ads to you while browsing the site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to show ads to you based on your prior visits to Community | DF2 HAVEN and/or to other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings or by using the WebChoices tool to opt out of advertising cookies from third-party vendors more generally. However, any ads that you may see will be less relevant to you.
Your usage data via Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect information on our visitors in order to gain insight into our web traffic. Information collected by Google Analytics is provided to us anonymized and aggregated. We have no access to personally identifying information collected by any of Google's services.
